Welcome to the St. Marys Garden Club
Established in 1999, the St. Marys Garden Club is a member of the Garden Club of Georgia, the Deep South Region and National Garden Clubs. We are open to both women and men. We invite you to come to a meeting. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 1:00 pm. We meet at the fellowship hall of First Presbyterian Church, 100 Conyers St., St. Marys. Guests are always welcome. Members and guests are invited to bring a lunch to the Brown Bag Meet and Greet before the meeting (12:15 pm approximately). It is a great way to meet others who have the love of gardening and make friends while working on the many projects we have around town.
Our club offers a wide variety of activities, in addition to our meetings. At our meetings you will learn much from our guest speakers who present a diverse array of information about gardening in our area. We maintain several small gardens around town, at Orange Hall, First Presbyterian Church and the historic Catholic Church. We have created our own cookbook which we have available at our plant sales in Spring and Fall. Our plants are grown by our members so you know that they will grow locally. We award a Beautification Award to businesses in Camden County throughout the year. Our Earth Angels work with second graders at local schools, and we support a STEM project (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) at Saint Marys Middle school. We also participate in National Garden Week, Arbor Day, create a scarecrow for Hay Days and participate in Tinsel Tree trail at Christmas. See our list of committees and projects in our Handbook for activities that may be of interest to you.
We occasionally change our meeting location, so please check our Calendar for current information or visit our Facebook page; Saint Marys GA garden club.
New members are always welcome! We would love to have you join us! Email us at [email protected]
